Part-Time Executive Director Needed

Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Area [BIA]
Part-time Contract Position (15 hours per week)
 

The Downtown Squamish BIA is looking for a part-time Executive Director. The DSBIA is the collective voice of the downtown businesses including property owners and their operating business tenants. This is a year round part time contract starting September 25th, 2014.
 

On the Street

Friday August 8th (5pm till 9pm)

Saturday August 9th (9am till 4pm)

50th Anniversary Community Picnic

District of Squamish , Monday, August 4

SQUAMISH, B.C. – Fifty years ago this year, the Village of Squamish amalgamated with Mamquam and Brackendale to create the newly incorporated District of Squamish, and to celebrate this milestone, the District is hosting a 50th Anniversary Community Picnic on Monday, August 4, 2014. The Community Picnic is part of the Squamish Days Loggers Sports weekend, and the 100 Years of Squamish festivities.

Historical Walking Tour

SQUAMISH, BC- The Squamish Historical Society has created a self-guided historical walking tour for locals and visitors to enjoy in this summer. In partnership with the Downtown Business Improvement Association, Squamish 2014, Tourism Squamish, Squamish Days and the Squamish Farmers Market, the map has been installed downtown at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Winnipeg Street to encourage everyone, young and old, to Celebrate Squamish Milestone’s. DOWNTOWN SUMMER NIGHTS

Friday, June 6th to Friday, August 29, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm
Cleveland Avenue from Winnipeg Street to Victoria Street will be transformed into a gathering place filled with food, music, family, and friends. Local food stalls will be set up offering a wide selection of tasty treats. Buskers & Street Entertainers will be stationed throughout the street. Family activities will be scattered along the street to engage the young and the young at heart. Come downtown to mingle with your neighbours and be part of the community that is what Squamish is all about.
