There’s Something Big Happenin’ This Holiday Season in Downtown Squamish

SQ-BIA-Poster.jpg

One lucky holiday shopper will have an extra $1000 dollars to spend on gifts this holiday season as the Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association (DSBIA) present the “Happenin’ Holidays” cash card contest. The contest will run until December 21st with the winner being determined by a draw.

Historic Signs to Commemorate City’s Lush Past

For most travelers who pass through Squamish, the small city often represents a refueling station for eager alpine enthusiasts and city-weary Vancouverites. Being on the door-step of British Columbia’s Mecca for alpine sports means that the vibrant and growing city is, more often than not, overlooked for its quaint charm, bustling inner core, and the eclectic mix of small businesses purveying wares and goods characteristic of family run businesses that no longer exist in large cities.

O'Siem Pavillion - What is Your Vision?

The DSBIA is invited to attend a meeting of key stakeholder groups to discuss the multiple functions and corresponding features that the O’Siem Pavillion should include, so that the pavilion is designed and built to meet the community’s needs and interests.

Welcome to the DSBIA Website!

Squamish’s very own Downtown Business Improvement Association just procured some new real estate. And no, it isn’t nestled anywhere near the scenic mountains or the endless lush of boreal forest. It’s online, and with the launch of our dynamic new website! Our collective business know-how and our tireless efforts to promote Downtown Squamish just got a whole new audience.

Bike to Downtown Cuz We Have New Bike Racks!

Using funds from Trinity Romance Shops annual James Bondage Fundraiser, proprietor Eric Armour partnered with the DSBIA to increase the pot for his concept of a public art project for Downtown. The project in question bubbled out of the ether and took the shape of art/bike racks.

The DSBIA thanks you Scott Lamont!

Over the past three years, Downtown Squamish is looking a lot better due to the incredible work of Scott Lamont
