How would you like to win a helicopter ride during the Canada Day Parade? 

Get the best seat in the house, 500 feet above downtown Squamish thanks to Blackcomb Helicopters. To enter ‘Like’ the Downtown Squamish BIA Facebook page and comment on this post with what you’re looking forward to the most at Squamish Canada Day 2019.

Contest rules:  Contest closes at noon PST on June 30th.

The contest will run on the Downtown Squamish BIA Facebook page from noon June 28th to noon on June 30th 2019 pacific time.
–      A winner will randomly be selected and notified via Facebook direct message.
–      The winner will need to be available on July 1st 2019 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and have their own transportation to and from the Squamish Airport.
–      Winner will be required to take a minimum of two landscape photos for the BIA of the parade from above and a selfie that can be used for promotional purposes.
–      Flight is conditional on weather and up to Blackcomb Helicopters discretion. The winner must abide by all Blackcomb Helicopters rules and requirements.
–      If flight is cancelled there is no rain check.
–      Prize cannot be substituted for another or ‘upgraded’.
–      You must be able to answer a skill testing question.
–      Entries are open to BC residents only.
–      One entry per person.
–      By entering you release the Downtown Squamish BIA from and against any and all claims, damages or liability, including any costs or losses related to personal injury, death, or property damage arising out of, or in any way related to this contest and the prize.
–      If you cannot be contacted by 8pm on June 30th and confirm your availability and acceptance of the price, another winner will be drawn.
–      We reserve the right to amend this contest or its rules without notice.

Canada Day celebration will kick-off with a parade full of red and white travelling down Cleveland Avenue.  New for 2019, will see the return of vehicles to the parade.

Enjoy live music, kids activities, food trucks, interactive community booths, a small artisan market and more! The DSBIA is proud
to announce the opening act for the day’s activities; five-time JUNO nominees and CBC Music’s “Canada’s Favourite Kids Entertainer” Bob’s & LoLo. The day will also feature a host of local talent including Aude Ray and The Wells, among others.

7 PM – 10 PM – BRENNAN PARK

Take a family walk along our wonderful park paths to arrive at Brennan Park on Field #4 where there will be a stage, food trucks, lounge area, as well as room to set up blankets & chairs. This year Canada Day will be rocked by JUNO winners, and West Coast Music Award winners the Paperboys! A spectacular firework display will return for Canada Day 2019, and will be the culmination of this year’s festivities.
